About Van der Valk
Bespoke yacht building from Brabant, in steel and aluminium.
Van der Valk Shipyard was founded in 1967 by Wim van der Valk, a passionate water sports enthusiast. After starting out with smaller boats, the yard in Waalwijk grew into a builder of steel and aluminium motor yachts, with the Vitesse series featuring semi-displacement hulls in the 1980s. The site comprises an office and seven production halls.
In April 2024 the management took over the founder's shares; Wim van der Valk remained involved as president emeritus. The yard focuses on custom yachts from 25 to 45 metres and also on semi-custom lines such as Raised Pilothouse, Flybridge, Explorer and BeachClub. On the BeachClub models the engine room is located beneath the swim platform, which provides a great deal of extra living space.
