About Super Lauwersmeer

Frisian steel motor yachts with a signature of their own.

Super Lauwersmeer was founded in Friesland in 1969 by Piet Wouda and started with the Lauwersmeer cruisers, steel motor yachts with a flared bow and crisp angles. The yard is now based in Noardburgum and is run by the brothers Bastiaan and Louis Jousma. Steel construction has remained the guiding principle throughout.

The current range centres on the Discovery line, developed in collaboration with designer Arnold de Ruijter, which is available in AC versions with an aft cabin and OC versions with an open cockpit. At the top of the range is the SLX 54, the flagship model. The yachts generally range in length from ten to seventeen metres and are fitted out on a semi-custom basis, alongside refit, maintenance and winter storage services.
