Hand-built deck saloon yachts from Plön, since 1971.
Sirius-Werft is a family business in Plön, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, that has been building sailing yachts since 1971. The yard was founded by Peter Schmidt and is still in family hands; the owner is now Torsten Schmidt. Sirius claims to have coined the term deksalon (deck saloon).
The current range consists of deck saloon yachts with a raised saloon and all-round visibility: the Sirius 310 DS, 35 DS and 40 DS. Characteristic features are the semi-custom layouts, with buyers able to choose from many variants and keel types, from fin keel to twin keel and swing keel. The yachts are hand-built in fibreglass, with sandwich construction above the waterline.
