Saffier Yachts originates from IJmuiden and traces its roots back to the Hennevanger family. His father Richard started a yard in Sydney in 1960, sailed around the world with his family and settled in the Netherlands in 1980. In 1998, Saffier Yachts was launched with the Saffier 6.50.

The yard builds its own yachts and offers three ranges: Classic, comprising the SC 6.50 Cruise and SC 8m Cabin; Elegance, comprising the SE 24 Lite, SE 28 Leopard, SE 33 Life and SE 38 Leader; and, since 2025, the Luxury range, comprising the SL 46. All yachts are rigged in such a way that a single sailor can sail them comfortably.
