Ockelbo

Aluminium boats from Umeå, built to withstand all weathers and seasons.

Ockelbo Boats builds welded aluminium boats and is based in Umeå in northern Sweden. The name refers to the boat-building tradition in the village of Ockelbo; the yard itself cites its fifty-year history as a boatbuilder as a source of inspiration. The current boats are designed for year-round use in all weather conditions. They are assembled in a mould from individual aluminium sheets and then welded by hand, without the use of robots, after which each weld is inspected individually. All hulls are given a nano-coating to protect against salt and UV rays, and production is ISO 9001-certified by Bureau Veritas.

The range comprises six models in three sizes. The 5.18-metre B16 AL is the smallest, with a maximum of 60 hp and seating for five people. The B18 is available as the B18 CC console boat, the B18 DC day cruiser and the B18 AL open boat, all 5.80 metres long and with up to 115 hp. Above these are the cabin boats: the 6.85-metre B21 CAB and the 7.90-metre B25 CAB, which can be powered by up to 425 hp and carries eight people. The boats are designed for transport, recreational fishing and trips, even outside the summer season.
