About Langweerder Sloep
Frisian sloops modelled on a lifeboat.
Langweerder Sloep is based on the Pontdyk in Langweer, in the heart of the Frisian lakes. The design is based on a lifeboat originally designed for the Baltic Sea, and this heritage is still evident in the full-bodied hull shape. As a result, the boats sit steadily in the water and are easy to handle, even for inexperienced boaters.
The yard builds the Langweerder Sloep in sizes 5.90, 6.50, 7.50 and 8.50 Classic; the larger models are also available with a cabin, alongside the ‘Langweerder’ Tender 700 and the Cruiser 800. The boats can accommodate between two and twelve people. Besides building new boats, the company rents out sloops on the Frisian lakes.
