About AMT
Finnish craftsmanship with an unsinkable foundation.
AMT was established in 1986 in Kontiolahti, in North Karelia, when the boats and engines division of Finland’s largest wholesaler, Aimo Mustonen, asked the company to build a boat factory. Until 2005, AMT built over 25,000 boats for other companies as a subcontractor. It then launched its own range, which made its debut at the Helsinki Boat Show in 2006.
All boats are designed and built in Finland. The ‘Aina rantaan’ concept, which means ‘always to shore’, ensures buoyancy even after severe damage, thanks to a sealed inner hull and watertight bottoms. AMT has now built more than 35,000 boats.
