Fast sailing yachts from Groningen with a long history.
The Waarschip originated in 1963 in the village of 't Waar in Groningen and became a household name among Dutch sailors: a light, sporty cabin sailing boat that relies above all on speed and sailing performance. The brand, drawings and moulds are now owned by Nautisch Centrum Delfzijl, which is continuing production from Farmsum, near Delfzijl.
The yard builds two ranges. The Cruiser Line is aimed at cruising, including the 21 CR, the 700 CR, the 27 CR and the 36 DS, whilst the Regatta Line, comprising the 700 LD One Design, the 1010 R and the 40 R, is geared towards competitive sailing. The yard also produces multihulls under the name Waarschip Composites.
