About Vanton Yachts
A Frisian yard with a fast 45-foot steel cabin cruiser.
Vanton Yachts was founded in 2021 by Ton van Rutten, an architect who made the transition from the construction industry to yacht building. The office and sales are at the harbour of Rottevalle in Friesland; the yard and delivery location is on De Steven in Drachten. The boats are based on a proprietary hull concept, the Quicksteel Dual Purpose Hull, featuring spray rails along the bow and a sharply raked stem. For the design and technical development, Vanton collaborates with Studio Delta on naval design and with Trimm Design on engineering.
The programme centres on the 45 Cabin Cruiser, also known as the Quicksteel 45, a cabin boat measuring 13.30 by 4.10 metres with a draught of approximately one metre and an air draft of 2.75 metres. The hull is available in steel or aluminium and features a semi-displacement design, with a Hull Vane fitted beneath the stern to reduce fuel consumption. It comes fitted as standard with two Volvo Penta D4-230 engines, good for thirteen knots; with two D4-320s, the boat reaches seventeen knots, and hybrid versions are available. In addition, the yard is working on 40- and 50-foot versions. The boat is aimed at couples who wish to cruise both on inland waterways and at sea.
