About Talamex
A Dutch brand specialising in inflatable boats and aluminium RIBs.
Talamex is the own brand of Lankhorst Taselaar, a water sports wholesaler based in Heerenveen which, by its own account, stocks over fifteen thousand items and supplies dealers throughout Europe. A wide range of water sports equipment is marketed under this name, from ropes and anchors to electronics, and within this range, the boat line forms a separate range. Talamex is therefore not a yard in the traditional sense, but a brand that markets its inflatable boats in fixed series. For each series, the fabric, floor type and finish are fixed, making it easy to distinguish between the different price ranges.
The range starts with the Aqualine, the entry-level series featuring a slatted base, air floor or aluminium floor. Above that are the Comfortline, with heavier fabric and aluminium fittings; the Greenline for anglers; and the Highline, which features thermally welded seams and German Valmex fabric from Mehler. The Highline X-Light is the lightest version, whilst the Heavy Duty is the heaviest. At the top of the range is the S-Line, a RIB with an aluminium hull and 0.9-millimetre PVC tubes. Lengths range from approximately 2 to 4.5 metres, with small to medium-sized outboard engines, intended for dinghies, anglers and day cruisers.
