Polish yard specialising in luxury catamarans, both sailing and electric.
Sunreef Yachts was founded in 2002 by the French entrepreneur Francis Lapp and has its shipyard in Gdańsk, Poland. The yard began with the Sunreef 74 CHE in 2003, which the company claims was the first seagoing luxury catamaran with a flybridge, and in 2010 built the first sailing catamaran with two full decks. Sunreef now has two yards in Gdańsk, one of which, according to the company, houses the largest CNC machine in Europe, as well as a 300-tonne floating crane. In 2022, the company purchased 65,000 square metres of land in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates for its first yard outside Poland.
The range comprises both sailing catamarans and motor catamarans. The sailing range extends from the 15.2-metre Sunreef 50 through the 60, 70 and 80 Next to the nearly 30-metre Sunreef 100, whilst the motor range features the same sizes under the name Sunreef Power. In addition, there is the smaller Ultima series, ranging from 44 to 88 feet, including a version produced in collaboration with Brabus. The models are available with electric propulsion; the classic version features diesel engines, whilst the 70 versions come with engines producing 175 or 225 hp each. Each boat is configured in consultation with the owner.
