Quicksilver Boats is part of the larger Brunswick Corporation, based in Tennessee, USA. Brunswick’s portfolio also includes the following brands: SeaRay, Bayliner, Boston Whaler and Mercury. Quicksilver, as a boat brand, was founded by Brunswick in 1993 and has since focused primarily on the leisure, fun and fishing boat markets.

Quicksilver In the 1980s, it initially sold mainly Mercury parts in Europe, but in 1991 Brunswick decided to shift its focus to boatbuilding itself. In 1993, it began production of its first in-house rubber boats, followed later by aluminium and fibreglass boats, designed by, amongst others, Carsten Astheimer (known for his work with Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and Sealine).
