British boutique yard for flybridge yachts with a signature style of their own.
Pearl Yachts was founded in 1998 in Stratford-upon-Avon, conceived by captain Iain Smallridge and businessman John Yarnold. The first boats were 41 and 45-foot aft cabin motor yachts; in 2004 the Pearl 55 followed at the Southampton Boat Show, and after that the Pearl 60. In 2003 Margaret and Tony Whittaker joined the company; Margaret Whittaker is now the owner and Iain Smallridge runs Pearl as managing director.
Pearl describes itself as a boutique yard that builds in small numbers. In more than 25 years, over a hundred yachts have been delivered. The current range consists of the flybridge models Pearl 63 and Pearl 73 and the raised pilothouse Pearl 82, supplemented by the larger Pearl 100. The exterior and naval architecture are by Bill Dixon (Dixon Yacht Design), the interiors by Kelly Hoppen. Every Pearl comes with a five-year warranty.
