About Monte Carlo Yachts

Italian flybridge yachts from Monfalcone, built in modules.

Monte Carlo Yachts was founded in December 2008 and builds boats in Monfalcone, on the Gulf of Trieste in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The yard is part of the French Beneteau Group, which describes itself as the world’s largest sailing yacht builder and one of the largest motorboat builders. Since its foundation, the design has been in the hands of the Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard, which determines both the lines and the layout. The construction method is striking: the superstructure, deck and interior are created as separate modules that are built in parallel and only assembled at a late stage, which significantly reduces the build time.

The range comprises flybridge motor yachts ranging from the 20.11-metre MCY 66 to the approximately 32-metre MCY 105, with models in between including the MCY 70, the MCY 76, the MCY 80, the MCY 86 and the MCY 96. A Skylounge version is also available for the larger models, featuring an enclosed upper deck instead of an open flybridge. The propulsion system consists of two diesel engines; on the MCY 66, these are two MAN V8 engines rated at 1,000 or 1,200 hp, capable of speeds of around thirty knots. The yachts are aimed at owners who undertake longer sea voyages with a small crew.
