Norwegian sports boats with a stepped hull, built in Fredrikstad.
Hydrolift is a Norwegian manufacturer of high-speed motor boats that was founded in Fredrikstad in 1985 and has been part of the Eker Group – the group led by designer Bard Eker – since 2002. Design, production, the showroom and after-sales service are all based at the same site on Mosseveien in Fredrikstad. A distinctive feature is the stepped V-hull; in the case of the X-22, this comprises a hull with two steps and a 24-degree deadrise, laminated as a GRP sandwich. This combination results in boats that remain light and dry at high speeds, with top speeds of fifty knots and more on the smaller models.
The range comprises three lines. The X-series is the pleasure craft line and ranges from the 6.68-metre X-22 through the X-26 S, the X-27 SUV and the X-28 DC to the X-32 S and the 9.60-metre X-32 DC, with the larger X-42 and X-45 above these, which are built as tenders and chase boats. The Signature range consists of bespoke day cruisers, whilst the PRO series is designed for professional use such as rescue operations, firefighting, patrols and tender services. Engine power ranges from just over 200 hp to 900 hp.
