Honda Marine’s range of inflatable boats, 2 to 4 metres.
Honwave is the name under which Honda Marine sells inflatable boats. It is a separate range of boats alongside the brand’s outboard engines, featuring tubes made from European PVC and a design aimed at ensuring the boat can be set up and packed away quickly. Honda markets the range throughout Europe under the same designation: a ‘T’ followed by the length in decimetres and a suffix indicating the type of floor fitted.
The layout corresponds to the floor design. The SE3 models have a slatted floor and are available in two sizes, 2 and 2.5 metres, for two to three people and engines ranging from 4 to 6 hp. The AE3 models have an aluminium floor and range from 2.5 to 4 metres, with space for up to seven people and engines from 6 to 30 hp. The IE3 models have an inflatable V-shaped floor – the ‘airdeck’ – and measure between 2.4 and 3.8 metres. With these, Honwave is targeting use as a tender for a yacht, as a fishing boat and as a lightweight day boat that can be transported in a car.
