Foldable trimarans that can be towed behind a car.
Corsair Marine was founded in San Diego in 1984 by John Walton. The first model was the Corsair F-27, a trailable trimaran designed by Ian Farrier, featuring a patented folding mechanism that allows the side floats to fold down to trailer width. This design put the brand on the map and led to a range of folding trimarans with dealers worldwide.
In 2006, the head office and production facilities moved to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Since 2010, Corsair has been owned by the Australian catamaran manufacturer Seawind Catamarans. The current range comprises the Pulse 600, the Corsair 760, the Corsair 880 and the Corsair 970, designed for day trips, family outings and competitive sailing. It takes about a minute to fold and unfold.
