Brunswick sports boats, ranging from open deckboats to cabin cruisers.
Bayliner has been building motor boats in the United States since 1957 and has grown to become one of the world’s largest manufacturers of small motor boats. The brand is part of Brunswick Corporation, the publicly listed group based in Mettawa, Illinois, which also owns Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, Quicksilver and the Mercury Marine engine brand. This connection is immediately apparent on board, as Bayliners are fitted with Mercury outboard engines or MerCruiser sterndrives from the same group.
Bayliner runs its own range for the European market. The VR and V series are bowriders; the C series and the VR6 Cuddy feature a small cabin; the M series is a deckboat built on the M-Hull underwater hull; and the Ciera 8 is the largest cabin boat. The VR4 Outboard measures 5.97 metres and accommodates seven people; the Ciera 8 is 8.15 metres long and has four berths. There is a choice between outboard engines up to 150 hp and MerCruiser sterndrives up to 350 hp. These are day boats for families looking for an affordable sports boat.
