Bavaria Bavaria was founded in Giebelstadt in 1978 by Winfried Herrmann and Josef Meltl. By building yachts in large series using industrial methods, grew to become one of Europe’s largest yacht builders. The brand is renowned amongst owners for its excellent value for money.

On the sailing side, Bavaria produces the C-line, ranging from the C38 to the C57, some of which are also available as electric eLINE models. Since 2001, the yard has also been building motor boats, which now account for more than half of its production. These include the open S-models, the SR range, the R40, the Vida and the Virtess 420.
